How Benchmarking Works
Know your score
Benchmarking compares buildings by their energy efficiency and rates each one on a standard scale. The EPA’s national energy performance rating system uses a 1–100 scale that allows you to quickly see how your building adds up — a rating of 50 indicates average energy performance, while a rating of 75 or better indicates top performance. Energy rating doesn’t explain why a building performs a certain way, or how to change the building’s performance. Getting the most accurate score right from the start is important. We can help you!
