Energy Efficiency - Facilities Field Engineer, Auditor or Assistant
Seeking various levels of field personnel to conduct energy audits in southern New York: Orange, Rockland, Westchester, NYC, and Long Island. CEM/energy efficiency knowledge, HVAC-R and lighting knowledge are desired. Ability to interact with clients on technical and professional levels is critical. Transportation required, expenses paid. Level 1: Site Data Collection.
Level 2: Site Data Collection, Energy Software Use (E-Quest), Report Creation (using Word and Excel), Detailed Calculations and Descriptions, Audit Debrief.
Level 3: Senior Engineer – Engineering Analysis and Reports.
“Sales (Associate) – Energy Efficiency Engineering Services”
Selling engineering services to a varied market including, but not limited to: industrial, commercial, multifamily, healthcare, educational, and other facilities. Customers range in size from small businesses to mid-size and larger corporations, condominiums and Co-Op owners
Responsibilities:
- Make initial sales calls
- Conduct preliminary site visits, as necessary, to assess energy efficiency needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with Economic Development Associations, Alliance Partners, Chambers, etc.
- Deliver presentations at conferences and other events
- Develop and write proposals
- Follow-up with customers
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent and persuasive communication skills
- Confident with a professional demeanor
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail with great follow- through
- High motivation, reliability, flexibility (some after hours sales calls may be required)
- Team player
- Technical knowledge of building systems (e.g. HVAC) and operations
- Proficient in using MS Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of programs offered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) a plus
Territory: Lower Hudson Valley, Metro NYC, and New York State
Salary: Base salary ($$$) plus sales commission |
